April 29-April 30, 2005
Atlanta Premiere of Oscar Nominated Documentary - Hardwood
Please attend one of the special benefit showings of Hardwood,
the Oscar nominated short documentary written and directed
by my brother, Hubert Davis. Hubert will travel from Toronto
and my mother will travel from Chicago to attend the screenings
and participate in discussions following each showing.
Hardwood is a documentary about our family and the
choices that my father, Mel “Trick” Davis, a former Harlem
Globetrotter made and how those choices impacted our lives.
It is an emotional and powerful story about family, love,
and healing.
There is no admission for any of the showings. However, we
are requesting that each of you consider providing a donation
at the screening that you attend. The organizations benefited
